Owner/baker, Debbie Pugh is finally following her life-long dream of owning her own bakery.  Her grandmother worked in and retired from the world-famous Rich’s Bakery.  Debbie herself worked in the bakery for a few years before moving into the corporate world.  It was only a matter of time before she would leave to follow her heart.

 

Returning to her “roots,” Debbie opened The Cake House & More, vowing to make cakes and goodies the way the women in her family had done for generations.  She learned most of her baking skills from her mother and grandmother.  Debbie uses the same recipes her mother and grandmother taught her.

 

From grating our own carrots to making the fudge icing in an iron skillet, you can bet on good down-home, made-from-scratch with tender love and care baked goods.

Our pastry chef/cake designer is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu.  Kemi attended school for the culinary arts in Montreal, Canada.  She has always enjoyed working in the kitchen.  Kemi specializes in sculptured cakes, fondant, gum paste, sugar art creations and much more.  The slideshow below shows samples of Kemi’s work.
